This trip has been just over a year in the making. Planning everything from the car, van, a time budget, a financial budget and WHERE TO GO has been our hobby since January 2017 when Elizabeth and Jonathon found a picture book called 'Are We There Yet?' and started asking when could we go to all these amazing places throughout Australia. And we thought, if not now, then when? So here we are! We can't wait to share our adventure with you!

Hiking in Cradle Mountain January 2018 (right before we saw a brown snake eeek!)

The final week of our trip was spent at Falls Creek with great friends. The weather was pretty wild with lots of wind, low visibility and snow, so it was tough skiing but that didnt stop us! We were on the slopes by 8:15am every day and didnt finish till about 4pm most...

I've been so slack with writing, but thankfully we have been very active with the camera, phones, GoPro and drone (so many different formats!) and have still done the videos.

We arrived home yesterday afternoon and it so good to be back. The trip was truly incredible,...

We travelled through parts of outback NT a little while ago but Mataranka , which is in the IMovie, was a fun place. Hot thermal springs by day, and by night the home town of the Guinness World Record holder of number of whip cracks per minute, both one and two handed....

We are heading into outback QLD today so its time to write about FNQ. We arrived at the Atherton Tablelands from the west, scrubby sparse country until it climbs into the Tablelands, and within an hour the landscape changed into lush, dairy country. They told us at Und...

Darwin was hot and humid. Its actually their cool season, but geez, if you weren't in the shade by 8am then you were sweating. So every day we were there, we went to a water park, all of which bar one were free (always good!). The evenings were cooler and we all remark...

We’ve just spent a couple of days in Katherine and although we have left the Kimberley’s, we keep talking about it. Little things, like signs at restaurants requiring ‘Kimberley Casual’ dress code ie not bare feet and at least a singlet top. The ‘Kimberley massage’ ie...

May 21, 2018

Its a bit of a long one this time - in 12 days we have seen so much and have so many stories of this 655km track of land through north western WA. An absolute highlight of the whole trip. Everyone wants to do it again. Huge thanks to Jed from explore-wa.net who made it...

May 6, 2018

We are at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, on the north eastern tip of the Dampier Peninsula, a 3 hour drive north of Broome on a road that is graded regularly and generally inaccessible during the wet season. All the dirt in this region has iron ore in it which gives it it’s di...

Moons and Camels

The day after swimming with the whale sharks, we spent a long time in the car starting at 6:30am and ending at 6:30pm! During that car trip we really only stopped twice, first for lunch at a place near Karratha and a geocache called “Santas Backside” so...
