Planning!

Lake Argyle near Kununurra, the result of damming the Ord River in 1974, covering nearly 1000km2 and provides hydroelectricity, irrigation, fishing and tourism to the area.

First blog post... In January this year we spent a fortnight caravanning around Tasmania. We had a general idea of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see and do, but didn't book anything in advance. As a consequence of this, we missed out on doing a few things that looked like a lot of fun. Now that I've got a legitimate case of FOMO, I've booked a few adventures that would be during peak times (either because of the weather eg dry season in NT is the busiest time of year, or school holidays) . The latest thing I've booked was accomodation in Kununurra - apparently we will be there just after the Ord Valley Muster which attracts the likes of Lea Kernaghan and thousands of people, and after 12 days of really roughing it along the Gibb River Road, I didn't want to miss out on decent amenities and a pool! Also looking into shows that are on in Sydney when we are there, maybe take the kids to a musical or something at the Opera House... Will keep you posted
