Beach Day

Today was our first full day of no car driving! We decided to go and spend it down at the beach but first we went down to a replica of Stonehenge. We had a excellent game of hide and seek in the rocks. It was fun darting in and out of the stones. The real Stonehenge was built between 4000 and 5000BC  but they only used it for 400 yrs!!

We drove down to Lucky Bay which is Australia's whitest sand beach. The sand is squeaky because it is made out of quartz instead of bits of shell and other stuff. We had an epic sandcastle battle (mum and dad vs Jonathon and Elizabeth). In the end mum and dad won with their pyramid.

The highlight of the day was seeing kangaroos on the beach!! It was a once in a lifetime experience and patting them was really cool. They go up and then sniff you and then go on eating the new shoots of a type of grass. We ate lunch (cheese rolls) and then went out to jump over the waves. We then drove out to climb a steep mountain. There was no trail just rocks and more rocks so we only went up half way. We then drove out to another beach. We walked around and cartwheeled and roundoff'd back. We were skimming cuttlefish as well. Till next time..........
